Regional Workshop - Med Strategy

The Regional Workshop on the Preparation of National Action Plans for the Implementation of the Mediterranean Strategy for the Prevention of, Preparedness, and Response to Marine Pollution from Ships (2022-2031), will be held in Lija, Malta, on 20 November 2024.

 The Workshop will be organised on the eve of the Second Coordination Meeting, in order to ensure better participation and more efficient use of resources.

 In this context, the principal objectives of the Workshop will be:  

1. to raise awareness on the Mediterranean Strategy (2022-2031); 
2. to strengthen regional capacity for an effective implementation of the Mediterranean Strategy (2022-2031); and 
3. to review the Guidance Document on the Preparation of National Action Plans for the Implementation of the Mediterranean Strategy (2022-2031), prepared by REMPEC. 

 The target audience for the Workshop are Government officials responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of National Action Plans.
