The Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC) hosted its Thirteenth Meeting of the Focal Points, from 11 to 13 June 2019 in Malta.
The principal objectives of the Meeting are to examine the implementation of the Programme of Work of REMPEC since the Twelfth Meeting of the Focal Points of REMPEC; and to discuss and approve the proposed Programme of Work of REMPEC for the biennium 2020-2021, prior to its submission to the Meeting of the Focal Points of the Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) and to the Twenty-first Ordinary Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Barcelona Convention and its Protocols for adoption.
All REMPEC official Governmental Focal Points, relevant regional and international organisations, observers from national oil, gas, port and shipping industries as well as environmental non-governmental organisations (NGOs), the activities of whom are relevant to the objectives of the Meeting have been invited to participate in the Thirteenth Focal Points Meeting.
