A longtime supporter of REMPEC in Malta retires from office – Jul 06, 2011

On the 4 July 2011, Mr Frederic Hebert, Director of REMPEC, presented the crest of REMPEC to H.E. Mr Lino Vassallo, Malta’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), in recognition of his constant support to the Centre since its establishment in 1976. Mr Vassallo, who has recently retired from his post of Registrar-General of Shipping and Seamen at the Merchant Shipping Directorate of Transport Malta, has throughout his career been a keen supporter of REMPEC and previously ROCC.
