IMO-WMU Global R & D Forum on Emerging Ballast Water Management Systems, 27-29 January 2010, World Maritime University, Malmo, Sweden – Oct 01, 2009

GloBallast Partnerships has released the second call for papers for the Global R+D Forum on Emerging ballast Water Management Systems.

This prestigious event will be held at the World Maritime University in Malmo, Sweden on 27-29 January 2010.

This innovative Forum will bring together some of the world's largest maritime organizations involved in shipping, ship building and design, maritime R&D institutes, technology developers, environmental organizations and academia to discuss the cutting edge issues in ballast water management.

This event is the result of collaboration between GloBallast Partnerships, the World Maritime University, and the Global Industry Alliance for Marine Biosecurity, and will be preceded by an Expert Workshop on proving equivalency between existing approved management systems, and emerging alternative management systems.
