National Workshop on Contingency Planning and Table Top Exercise, 5-7 July 2011, Durres, Albania – Jul 05, 2011

A three - days National Workshop on Contingency Planning and Table Top Exercise, was held in Durres, Albania between 5 and 7 July 2011. The Workshop was a follow-up of the Inter-Ministerial Meeting held in Tirana on 13 July 2010 and the Field Mission carried out by REMPEC between 14 and 16 September 2010.

The workshop organised by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and REMPEC gave the opportunity to the relevant national competent authorities to test and provide comments on the Draft National Contingency Plan for Response to Accidental Marine Pollution in the Republic of Albania. An action plan for the finalization of the plan was agreed by the participants and members of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group who will meet after the Workshop to further discuss the draft of the plan in view of its finalisation by December 2011.
