Provision of consultancy services to support the Drafting of the Mediterranean Action plan for the implementation of the Offshore Protocol to the Barcelona Convention – Apr 16, 2013
Following the entry into force in 24 March 2011, after the ratification by Albania, Cyprus, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia of the Protocol concerning the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea Against Pollution Resulting from Exploration and Exploitation of the Continental Shelf and the Seabed and its Subsoil (“Offshore Protocol”) of the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Region of the Mediterranean (“Barcelona Convention”), the 17th Ordinary Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Barcelona Convention and its Protocols, Paris (France), 8-10 February 2012, adopted the Decision IG.20/12 related to the Action Plan for the implementation of the Offshore Protocol.
To assist the implementation of the Decision IG.20/12, the United Nations Environment Programme – Mediterranean Action Plan for the Barcelona Convention, hereinafter referred to as (UNEP MAP), with the support of the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC), invited relevant Consultants and Consultancy Firms to submit their proposal.
Following the evaluation of the four offers received in due time, the evaluation committee declared the tender unfruitful.
