Rear Admiral Cari B. Thomas from US Coast Guard visited REMPEC – Oct 22, 2010

On Friday 22 October, Rear Admiral Cari B. Thomas, Director of Response Policy of the United States Coast Guard paid a courtesy visit to REMPEC. R. Adm. Thomas was interested in discussing the experience of regional co-operation in the field of preparedness and response to accidental marine pollution in the Mediterranean Sea, in the context of  a policy review exercise which is currently taking place in the United States after the “Deepwater Horizon” spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
