REMPEC raises awareness on marine pollution during the World Ocean Day 2019 – Jun 08, 2019

During the World Ocean Day (8th June), REMPEC joined various local NGOs to raise awareness on marine environment during the event at the Malta National Aquarium, Bugibba, Malta .

During the process the Centre introduced the public to lively examples and serious consequences of marine pollution.

The REMPEC staff took this opportunity to actively interact with people of interest and described how various activities and projects such as POSOW, Globallast, SECA and Marine-Litter-MED Project are being addressed and coordinated by the Centre to make the Mediterranean Sea cleaner.
