Second Meeting of the Competent National Authorities for the Preparation of the Sub-Regional Marine Pollution Contingency Plan between Cyprus, Greece and Israel – Dec 13, 2016

The Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC) will convent the Second Sub-Regional Meeting of the Competent National Authorities for the Preparation of the Sub-Regional Marine Pollution Contingency Plan (SCP) between Cyprus, Greece and Israel, on December, in Valletta, Malta.  The Meeting will be convened in accordance with the Work Plan for the development of the SCP between the three countries submitted by REMPEC on 5 May 2016 which was later accepted by the three countries.

The Meeting commences at 900 hours on Tuesday, 13 December 2016.

The main objectives of the Meeting are to adopt the “Rules of Procedure” for the Sub-regional Meetings, to introduce the 1st draft CGI SCP, to present the 1st draft Agreement and to agree upon the date, place and agenda of the next meeting.
