Third Meeting of the Competent National Authorities for the Preparation of the Sub-regional Marine Pollution Contingency Plan Between Cyprus, Greece and Israel – Jul 11, 2017

The Third and last Meeting of the Competent National Authorities for the Preparation of the Sub-Regional Marine Pollution between Cyprus, Greece and Israel, held on 11 and 12 July 2017 in Nicosia, Cyprus. The Meeting was convened in accordance with the work plan for the development of the SCP which was proposed in May 2016 by REMPEC and subsequently agreed upon by the representatives of the three countries concerned.

The main objectives of the Meeting were to review and agree upon the final draft of the SCP as well as the draft of the Agreement for its implementation, which were prepared by REMPEC with the support of the Consultant.

Three representatives of Cyprus and two representatives of Greece and Israel respectively attended the Meeting, as well as one representative of REMPEC and the Consultant.
