VISIT | Meeting with Embassy of Libya – Feb 21, 2024

On 21st February 2024 REMPEC’s Head of Office met with the Embassy of Libya in Malta. During the meeting, an overview of the work of the Centre was provided. It was also highlighted how Contracting Parties may benefit from the work undertaken by REMPEC both at a national and regional level.

Discussions were also held on the progress made with the effective implementation of the establishment of the Mediterranean as a Sulphur Oxides Emission Control Area as from 1 May 2025 and with the accession to the IMO MARPOL Annex VI.
