Visit to REMPEC of Mr Koji SEKEMIZU, IMO Secretary General – May 07, 2012

On Friday 4th May, Mr. Koji Sekemizu, who helms IMO since 1st January this year, came to meet with REMPEC’s staff members on the occasion of his first official visit to Malta where he was to preside over the 23rd graduation ceremony of the International Maritime law Institute (IMLI).  Mr. Sekemizu thanked the staff for their dedication to the Centre which is an example of excellent cooperation between UNEP and IMO and reassured them of its commitment to support the work of the Centre in his capacity of Secretary General. He also thanked personally Ms. Doreen Stellini who just went on retirement after serving the Centre for more than 34 years.
